One of the many things yoga teaches us is that when we connect to our bodies, we can discover resources for grounding, calm, and personal integration.

Trauma-Informed Yoga for Stress, Pain, and Emotional Healing

I structure classes and individual sessions around yogic, mindfulness, and mental health theories, depending on the needs of my students. For example, a practice designed to soothe anxiety would focus on techniques to settle the nervous system, while a practice for depression would aim to energize the body. A traditional trauma-informed class would emphasize noticing sensation over perfecting alignment, whereas a lesson to address chronic pain might zoom in on alignment to support efficiency and ease of movement. Regardless of the approach, my main goal is to create a space where you can listen to your body, breathe, and be kind to yourself.
